This week was very exciting because our rock was completed! This makes the front of the house look nearly done sans the paint. Pictures below the jump.
Guild Wars 2 – Second Beta Weekend Event
This weekend was the second beta weekend event, so, since I had Friday off this week, I, of course, spent some time playing (and subsequently didn’t blog on Friday). This weekend, I managed to get my own account up, and was able to play with both Jessa and Sally. Thoughts, impressions, and some pictures of my new character (Drakken Crane) follow.
Minecraft – Different home construction
I’ve been running a Minecraft server out of the house for a while now, and I’ve finally completed my first project. For me, Minecraft is time spent with friends, so I couldn’t build something completely huge or amazing, and this was a bit more work than I initially expected. Pictures follow.
House Update #9
For some reason, I feel like singing something about a #9, but this one is our house update! New pictures of the outside, (as well as a couple from the electrical walkthrough) after the jump.
Floorplans
As things have been getting closer, Jessa and I have been getting more questions about the house – how big it is, what the floorplan looks like, etc. This is just a quick update with our floorplans. Images after the jump
House Update #8
New this week, we got a roof, but most of the outside looks the same. We have our electrical walkthrough next week though, so the inside is coming along nicely. Some new and exciting pictures after the jump.
Icebreaker vs Backswing
That’s right – it’s a DOUBLE MATH FRIDAY!. Since I failed to get a blog post out on Wednesday, I felt the need to get a second post out today. Also, I was playing around more with my spreadsheets and thought I would provide a similar chart for the options on one of my favorite infantry, Man-O-War Demolition Corps.
A Mathematical Approach to Spending Focus
As with any game, there are certain actions in WARMACHINE that can be seen as strictly better than others. As a mathematician, I felt impelled to figure out what those things were. As a computer scientist, I was going to use technology to help. As this is my blog, I am going to explain it to you…
House Update #7
This week there’s not a lot of difference to the outside (I think we probably got a front door and less scaffolding), but we got to go inside since they weren’t working. Pictures after the jump.
Sunstroke Project & Olia Tira – Run Away
As can sometimes happen, news to me may be a couple of years late. That’s true in this case, but I couldn’t help not sharing this video.
Sunstroke Project & Olia Tira (Moldova) – Run Away (Eurovision Song Contest 2010)
It’s like a slice of the 80s in my living room.
