As of today, I’m going to start making some time to write. Lately, I’ve been going about the things that I want to do rather than writing about them. The reason for this is that I somewhat adopted the motto, “Why write about something when you could just do it?” So, instead of blogging (one of the things on my projects list), I’ve just been doing stuff. Now, however, I feel like I want to get some writing out there. It has been a long time since I have made the time, so maybe it’s time to start.

Things Completed
As can sometimes happen, I have been incredibly busy for the past three weeks. Between business and vacation, I’ve only had 8 days at my normal job. However, I’ve still be very productive, just not as good about blogging about it, so here’s what I’ve been up to.
Taking Donations for the next two weeks
Donations are open for the week of July 4 and 11. I’m doing a two-week stretch because the fourth of July weekend and my vacation at the beginning of next week make two shorter weeks in a row. That means the minimum will be set to 6 hours, and the maximum is 12.
Last week, I spent most of my time (and then some – five hours) working on Thank You cards. We’ve made some good progress on these and will probably be sending out a good number of them this week. I also got a blog post out on EVE and put together a page for my main character (Darren Carey). Thanks!
Taking donations for the week of June 27
Donations are open for the week of June 27. This week, I have kit building on Wednesday night, so I’ll be working on projects for a minimum of 4 hours, and a maximum of 8. Thanks for your support!
Last week I finished working off my backlog of donated hours, working on Thank You Cards and Blogging (3 hours each). I’ve got one more blog coming up about EVE Online which will be accompanied by a page about my main character.
So… …What happened last week?
Last week, I asked for donations to go toward my projects. I plan on sticking to those donations, but as many of you noticed, it didn’t quite happen last week. I feel I owe it to you to explain, so here you go:
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Jessa and I have recently finished watching our way through Star Trek: The Next Generation. I’ve never seen the show from start to finish before, so this was quite a treat for me in a number of ways. Details to follow.
Taking donations for the week of June 13
Donations are open for the week of June 13. Comment below to donate time to my projects. See this post if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
Making time to write
I have a new theory, and it is this: I have time to write, but I don’t make time to write. Let me elaborate:
New year, new… …blog entry?
This has certainly been a busy holiday, but I shouldn’t complain, it’s been good. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?) for you all, I’m not making a new years resolution to blog more often, though I do plan to when I have some time. I did, however, want to put together an update of what I have been doing over the past few weeks…
The Adventures of the Andromeda Ascendant
If you’ve been keeping track of my current activities, you may have noticed that I recently finished watching Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda. After five seasons of this show, I’ve got a new appreciation for the various themes and plot points. Also, I have a whole new appreciation for just how fun this show is. Details and possible spoilers after the jump.
