As can sometimes happen, I have been incredibly busy for the past three weeks. Between business and vacation, I’ve only had 8 days at my normal job. However, I’ve still be very productive, just not as good about blogging about it, so here’s what I’ve been up to.
First and foremost, the Thank You notes are nearly done. There are only four left to write and assemble, then they will be shipped out as well. On the other hand, Jessa’s writing them, so I don’t really have anything to assemble yet… Still, in the last three weeks, I have spent a total of 12 hours working on thank you notes, so I hope you all enjoy them. Announcements are next, but should be far less work.
The other thing that has caught my attention, which I have been spending quite a bit of my spare time on (when I’m not at home), has been Arkham Horror scenarios. Unbeknownst to me, the folks at Fantasy Flight and Edge Entertainment ran Arkham Horror leagues way-back-when (before I owned the game), and produced a number of scenarios. The scenarios modify the game play in interesting ways, and (in the later ones) tell a story of the investigators’ struggles. I’ve been finding out everything I can about the scenarios and downloading the supplies so that I can print them out for playing. It’s been a very fun project for me, and I think I have the first two scenarios just about ready for production. More on this when they’re actually done.
Finally, I picked up Warmachine: Wrath the other day. It’s been a fun read so far, and I’m excited by the new content (yes, I already have a Gun Carriage). I haven’t had anyone around to game with lately, but I am looking forward to checking it out when Stetson gets back into town. Also, it’s reminded me that I should probably start looking forward to the yearly Warhammer apocalypse!
