With the arrival of summer, comes the arrival of the 2018 summer narrative league at the Rogue’s Roost.  As such, I’ve decided to get the motivation together to paint, and painted The Dreamer and her phantasms from my Grymkin army.

I did The Dreamer first, and when I finished her up, I really wanted to hit her with the sepia wash to match the rest of the army, but her colors came out so sharp and distinct I eventually decided not to.  I think I’m okay with this difference, as her look should maybe be a little different from the rest of the Grymkin – a little more glowing.  For the phantasms though, I stuck with giving them the sepia wash, and I think they look better for it.  The stuffed titan and the pumpkin ‘jack in particular held it well, and, while I was a bit worried about the Khadoran mouse (with all the muted grey tones), he ended up holding up reasonably well.

Overall, I’m happy with how these turned out, and am looking forward to getting some more painting in this year!
