A while back, I noticed a couple of my friends posting black and white pictures about their life. It was part of a meme to do just that, and, of course, to challenge someone else to do the same every day for seven days. While I’m not a huge fan of memes, the idea itself sounded interesting, so I decided to give it a shot.
The following is a collection of those pictures:
Day 1, Friday: We All Have Our Monsters, These Are Mine
Day 2, Saturday: The Morning Is My Time
Day 3, Sunday: Games Without Frontiers
Day 4, Monday: The Best TPS Reports – Spreadsheets Of Space
Day 5, Tuesday: Table Space
Day 6, Wednesday: The Seasons Shift Fastest Beyond My Window
Day 7, Thursday: My Side of the Mountain
In the end, I think I enjoyed naming my pictures the most. I’m not much of a photographer, and actually taking pictures doesn’t hold a lot of draw for me. But, coming up with a provocative and familiar name for each picture was really fun.
I think my greatest frustration with this project was looking back and saying, “these seven photos are representative of my life.” I don’t think that’s true, they’re not even the seven things I think about most often, but they are something to me today. They may mean something else or nothing at all tomorrow, I’m just not sure.
