This week, I got the chance to bring Harry up to speed with the Journeyman league, while also getting some painting in. Harry had just cracked open the Circle Orboros battle box this week, so I dropped down to my zero point list and lent him my already assembled metal models so we could get a game in.
Daniel’s Khadwarves (0 pts)
- General Ossrum (28 WJpts)
- Ghordson Driller (10 pts)
- Grundback Gunner (6 pts)
- Grundback Gunner (6 pts)
- Grundback Blaster (6 pts)
Harry’s Circle Orboros (0 pts)
- Tanith the Feral Song (31 WBpts)
- Gorax Rager (7 pts)
- Pureblood Warpwolf (17 pts)
- Wild Argus(7 pts)
The early stages of this game were pretty standard, I moved my gun bunnies into position and started firing. Harry’s Gorax Rager got a little too close though, and the Driller wasn’t going to wait for a second chance – he charged in and drilled the Gorax to smithereens. Harry had a good counter-attack though, and managed to tie up all my guns and the Driller, so I was somewhat stuck repositioning for a turn while he had me in just the right place. For his feat turn, he brought his Argus up for the Doppler Bark against Ossrum, then channeled spells through it until he was a lifeless husk. This was a loss for me, putting my week 3/4 score at 1 win and 1 loss.
This week, I also got my Ghordson Basher all painted up.
I’m pretty happy with how my Khadwarves are turning out so far, so I’ll definitely be continuing this theme with the next thing I paint – probably my Grundback Gunners.
