One of the projects I’ve been working on for a while is a model for Egil Iron Wolf – one of the wolf lords mentioned in the Space Wolf codex. A while back I posted pictures of the model, but I have also recently finished painting him. Pictures after the jump.

One of the fun parts about painting this model, was getting the extra arm with just the right color. I experimented with a few different greens, but finally settled on the one I used because it made the arm look a little necrotic. Which, makes sense, considering that it is an arm from a bug, mechanized.

As for the rest of the paint job… …I’m not completely happy with it. For me, the Space Wolf grey was a little lightly colored, and didn’t pop as well as the shadow grey for my other models. I’m calling this one finished for now, but I reserve the right to go back over it at some point.
