Painted Juggernaut

Lately Stetson and I have been taking every other week to put some paint on our respective Warmachine armies. Since the Juggernaut seems like the epitome of Khador ‘jack design, I’ve decided to start there. I tried a variety of different color schemes before deciding to go with something close to the traditional colors. Pictures after the jump.

The main color choice I chose was Burgundy because it fit with the Russian-Red ideal of Khador (in my opinion), but was a little darker, more rust colored (which is what I was going for). I highlighted with Latte (tan) to give it something to offset (and compliment) the dark burgundy. And, of course, I used copious metallic gunmetal grey for the chrome bits.

Overall, I’m happy with how this one turned out. I’m in the middle of doing the Destroyer up the same way, and I hope to get Sorscha done up in the next couple of weeks. At that point, I’ll have the Khador battle group done and I’ll post more pictures!

In closing, I did want to put up a comparison of flash to non-flash with this model to see what you all think in terms of how to get the pictures to come out better. For some reason, the images came out almost effortlessly this time around – I wonder if it’s the paint…
