So, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on my blog, but I am still here. I thought I would post a little snippet, as I was thinking very hard about why I don’t just blog, and I realized that it’s hard for me to write for a couple of reasons.
First, I find that I am more likely to spend time doing something that writing about it. This is partially because I don’t like to talk about things that are in-progress, rather, I’d rather talk about them when they’re done. Unfortunately, when I embark on a long project, this doesn’t lead to good blogging. Then, by the time that I’ve completed said larger project, I’m usually rather worn out, and not really wanting to talk about it either…
The other issue that I have is that I’m not really big on pictures. I have a digital camera which I use to take pictures of various things from time to time, but I never take pictures when I’m on travel. So, when I went to Iceland earlier this year (part of the long hiatus), I came back with nothing but a lot of words to show for it, and I’m aware that that doesn’t really make for good blogging. Instead, I just decided to let it ride, and went about my work.
Now, you might ask, why I’m bringing this up now, and whether this really makes an interesting blog or not. I guess I just wanted to pipe in and say that I’m still here, and very busy doing all kinds of things… …And going on not writing about them.
You could just grab some random, Icelandic photos off the internet and then make up stories about them. Who would know?
I could do that… …Though, easier, would be to tell stories and just put random pictures of Iceland in there – Then I don’t have to make up the stories, or even make up stories about the pictures.
